ABOUT THE BOOK
You are cordially invited to the wedding of the year!
Nellie Canlas loves her job. She loves being assistant to reality TV star and wedding planner goddess, the fabulous Charlotte Bertram, and she loves working with couples to make their wedding dreams come true. What she doesn’t love is having cameras following her all the time, especially when she’s crushing hard on the lawyer from another floor.
Robert Bertram doesn’t like planning weddings. He doesn’t like being on TV either. But when he finds himself in possession of Nellie’s diary, he thinks he can turn her into anyone’s dream girl. If he doesn’t fall for her first.

REVIEW
At first I thought the story will
revolve around Charlotte because of the title but I was wrong. The story is
about Nellie, she’s very adorable to be honest and very awkward, she kind of
reminds me of Harriet from the web series Emma Approved and it made me like the
book even more. It tells about how Nellie finds herself, what she wants and
what she can do. Throughout the book we see a couple of diverse characters,
there are side stories that are very entertaining they’re not too much, just
enough.
I love
the writing style! How it’s shown as a television program, the commentaries and
interviews that way we see more from the other characters’ perspective and
understand the characters better.
I also
love how the author drops Easter eggs and references from movies and books such
as Pride and Prejudice, Doctor Who, Star Wars, Stark Trek because even just a
simple reference I still appreciate them and it makes me want to read the book
more.
I
definitely love the book. It’s witty, funny and very adorable. The Characters
are relatable, I love the Filipino touch that we can see in the book. It helped
me get up and kick reading slump out of my system which I am really thankful
for. I totally recommend this one and I can’t wait to read more from Carla!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Carla de Guzman (ck.deguzman@gmail.com) had horrible handwriting as a kid. That didn't stop her from writing, though. Riddled with too much energy and a vivid imagination, she started writing every midnight. She grew up with her toes in the sand and her bags packed and ready to go on adventures. These books are chronicles of her journeys, with a silly love story mixed in.
When she’s not sitting in a plane or working, Carla writes for her blog, Some Midnights (www.somemidnight.wordpress. com), Modern Filipina and for When in Manila.
